Medfield will turn Saturday, April 25, into a town-wide history crawl, with tours, open houses and talks spread across multiple sites and start times. (patch.com) The 2026 event runs April 24-26, but Saturday carries the densest lineup, with activities at the Meetinghouse, Dwight-Derby House, Kingsbury Pond Grist Mill, Peak House Heritage Center and the Medfield Historical Society Museum. Organizers said some attractions are free and others are ticketed to manage attendance. (patch.com) Saturday’s schedule starts as early as 10 a.m. at Kingsbury Pond Grist Mill, where tickets are listed hourly through 3 p.m. The Dwight-Derby House and the Meetinghouse steeple tours both list Saturday slots starting at 11 a.m., and the Medfield Historical Society Museum lists Saturday entries from noon through 3 p.m. (ticketsource.com 1) (ticketsource.com 2) (ticketsource.com 3) (ticketsource.com 4) The weekend is built as a local heritage event rather than a single festival site. The Medfield Historical Society says it is leading the program with community partners, and that net proceeds are shared among participating nonprofit historical groups in town. A Saturday presentation by Town Historian Richard DeSorgher at the Meetinghouse is billed around the Feb. 21, 1676 attack on Medfield, with sessions at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. (ticketsource.com) At the museum, Saturday visitors are also being offered a living-history element: reenactor Michael LePage is scheduled to portray John Adams. The Historical Society said LePage’s appearance will focus on conversational interpretation and visitor engagement. (constantcontact.com) Other advertised weekend attractions include narrated Old Town Trolley rides, a walking tour of the former Medfield State Hospital campus, a children’s scavenger hunt, and a luminaria fundraiser tied to repairs for the town clock. The kickoff reception is set for Friday, April 24, at the Dwight-Derby House. By Saturday afternoon, the town’s 18th-century buildings, museum rooms and clock tower will all be part of the same route. (patch.com) (medfieldhistoricalsociety.org)
