Cherry Blossom Season in Japan

Japan's cherry blossom forecast promises immersive experiences, including Osaka’s Ogimachi Sakura Festival (April 3–5) with music, lanterns, and sake tastings.

Ogimachi Park, easily reached from Umeda, is a prime cherry blossom viewing location. The festival enhances this with nighttime illuminations, offering a different viewing experience from the daytime. The festival includes live stage shows featuring traditional Japanese music and street performances. A tatami seating area and beer garden will be available around the stage. For a unique experience, the festival offers a synchronized launch of LED sky lanterns. These lanterns are tethered and eco-friendly, creating a canopy of light. If you're looking for other places to view cherry blossoms, Ueno Park in Tokyo is holding its Ueno Cherry Blossom Festival from March 14 to April 5. You can also visit Osaka Castle for another great spot.
