Thriller Awards Finalists Announced
Robert Crais’s *The Big Empty* is nominated for Best Series Novel at the 2026 ITW Thriller Awards.
Crais shares the nomination with authors such as S.A. Cosby, confirmed as a finalist for *All the Sinners Bleed*. Other contenders include Alafair Burke for *Look For Me*, and Linwood Barclay with *The Lie Maker*. The International Thriller Writers (ITW) will present the Thriller Awards at ThrillerFest in New York City. The event is scheduled for June 6, 2026. *The Big Empty* is the latest installment in Crais's Elvis Cole and Joe Pike series. The series features the detective duo navigating the dark underbelly of Los Angeles. Crais has previously been honored with the ITW Thriller Award for *Suspect* in 2014. He also received the Ross Macdonald Literary Award in 2006.
