Nintendo quietly moved one of its most timing-sensitive series into the middle of summer: Rhythm Heaven Groove is set for July 2, 2026 on Nintendo Switch, according to the game’s official store page. When Nintendo first announced the game in its March 27, 2025 Nintendo Direct, the company only said Rhythm Heaven Groove was coming in 2026, with no month or day attached. Its compatibility pages say Nintendo Switch 2 can play compatible physical and digital Nintendo Switch games, but also warn that some games may not be supported or fully compatible because the hardware is different. For a series where players judge a game by whether a tap lands exactly on the beat, even small doubts about hardware behavior would hang over the launch.
