Automotive Vision Firm STRADVISION Nears 5M Unit Milestone
Automotive vision software provider STRADVISION is approaching a milestone of having its technology deployed in five million vehicles globally. The figure reflects the rapid adoption of AI-powered embedded perception systems for Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving features across the automotive industry.
- STRADVISION's core product, SVNet, is a deep learning-based perception software that is compatible with over 18 System-on-Chip (SoC) platforms and offers more than 30 object recognition functions. This allows for flexible and rapid deployment of its software on a wide variety of automotive hardware. - The company has raised a total of $137 million in funding over six rounds, with major investors including automotive giants ZF, Aptiv, and Hyundai Mobis. Its latest funding was a Series C round that brought in $88 million. - To enhance its perception capabilities, STRADVISION has partnered with Vueron Technology, a LiDAR perception company, to develop a "Sensor Fusion" technology. This technology combines camera data with LiDAR data to create a more accurate and reliable understanding of the vehicle's surroundings. - The company's technology is not limited to passenger cars; it has been deployed in a range of vehicles including SUVs, sedans, trucks, and self-driving buses in partnership with various global OEMs. - STRADVISION's software is designed to be lightweight and efficient, requiring minimal computational power and memory. This makes it suitable for a wide range of embedded systems in vehicles, from basic ADAS to more advanced autonomous driving functions. - The company has a global presence with over 300 employees and offices in key automotive hubs including Seoul, San Jose, Detroit, Tokyo, Shanghai, and Dusseldorf. - Looking ahead, STRADVISION plans to launch its next-generation perception platform, SVNet MultiVision Gen 2, in 2027. This platform is designed to scale from Level 2 driver assistance to Level 4 autonomous driving and will feature expanded camera support and HD-mapless operation. - The company holds multiple certifications for quality and safety, including ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management and ISO 26262 for Automotive Functional Safety.
