PartnerOne Deploys Internal AI Assistant

PartnerOne company XYPRO has introduced "Lionel," an internal AI assistant designed to unlock institutional knowledge. The tool is being applied within the HPE Nonstop Compute ecosystem to help manage security and compliance.

- Parent company PartnerOne acquired XYPRO in May 2025 as part of its strategy to buy and grow enterprise software companies for the long term. - The "Lionel" assistant was created to address a specific challenge within the HPE Nonstop environment, where essential information is often fragmented across decades of technical manuals, support tickets, and the knowledge of individual experts. - This problem of fragmented knowledge can lead to slower employee onboarding, inefficient troubleshooting, and difficulties in scaling expertise for mission-critical systems. - According to a McKinsey study, the average employee spends 9.3 hours per week searching for information, a problem internal AI assistants are designed to mitigate. - Early reported benefits from "Lionel" include a reduction in the time needed to resolve complex security and compliance issues and increased efficiency for engineers. - XYPRO, founded in 1983, has a long-standing partnership with HPE, developing a portfolio of security modules for NonStop servers that handle everything from authentication to audit and compliance. - The AI is designed to augment human expertise by providing verified answers from a trusted set of internal and external data, rather than replacing personnel. - The project reflects the stated philosophy of XYPRO's CEO, Steve Tcherchian, that AI creates the most value when it is applied to solve practical and specific operational challenges.
