The WD-40 and Throtl collaboration involved transforming a wrecked 2005 Ford GT into a carbon-fiber racer, which debuted at SEMA 2025. The project was documented in a five-part YouTube series on Throtl's channel, showcasing the challenges and solutions encountered during the rebuild. The resurrected GT features a Doran GT2 carbon fiber body kit, custom 3D-printed headlights, and HRE 305 Classic Forged Wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires. Mechanical upgrades included a CSF cooling package and a Vibrant titanium exhaust system. Inside, Sparco SPX reclinable seats and Speedhut gauges provide a modern feel while maintaining the car's focus on the driver. The original supercharged 5.4L V8 engine only needed a simple rebuild, but the Ricardo manual transmission required more attention due to crash damage. The exterior boasts a metallic blue base with yellow graphics, reflecting WD-40's branding.
