Monstrosity Death Metal Album Incoming
Death metal veterans Monstrosity released new single "The Atrophied" ahead of their album Screams From Beneath The Surface dropping next month. The band announced a European headlining tour to support the release.
- *Screams From Beneath The Surface*, set for a March 13, 2026 release, is the band's first full-length album in seven years and will be released by Metal Blade Records. - The current lineup features founding drummer Lee Harrison, longtime guitarist Matt Barnes, new vocalist Ed Webb of the band Massacre, and the return of original bassist Mark Van Erp for the first time on a recording since 1996's *Millennium*. - Monstrosity's original vocalist was George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher, who performed on their first two albums before leaving to join Cannibal Corpse in 1996. - The "Screams Across Europe Tour 2026" is scheduled to run from April to May and will feature support from Bio Cancer, Reject The Sickness, and Deadwood. - The band recorded the new album at two well-known Florida studios; drums and bass were done at Audiohammer Studios with Jason Suecof, while guitars and vocals were tracked at Morrisound Recording with Jim Morris. - Drummer Lee Harrison describes the single "The Atrophied" as containing all the hallmarks of a classic Monstrosity song, from a spiraling bass intro to ferocious blasting energy and devastating riffs. - The album's cover art was created by artist Timbul Cahyono and is a non-AI, organic creation.
