Radisson, Amadeus Launch New API Connectivity
Radisson Hotel Group and travel technology company Amadeus have introduced a new direct API connectivity. The integration is designed to create a more seamless and efficient distribution process. This technological step aims to improve the booking experience for travelers and partners.
- The new connectivity directly links Radisson's EMMA Central Reservation System with the Amadeus Travel Platform, moving beyond the limitations of older Global Distribution System (GDS) protocols. This allows for instantaneous, real-time updates of room availability and rates directly to travel sellers. - A core component of the technology is the use of AI-driven data mapping to align and synchronize information between the two systems. This process reduces the need for manual data entry and tracking, increasing the accuracy of booking information. - For corporate travel agents and businesses booking travel, this integration enables more detailed comparisons of room categories, amenities, and rates. This facilitates more informed decisions and the ability to book more personalized stays for executive clients. - This partnership builds on a previous collaboration where Radisson integrated the Amadeus Traveler ID platform to enable a seamless and contactless check-in experience for guests. - Key executives overseeing this development include Mirja Sickel, EVP of Hospitality Distribution at Amadeus, and Richard Biggs, Global Head of RevGen EMMA CRS & Channels at Radisson Hotel Group. - Amadeus is a dominant force in travel technology, providing solutions for over 1 million hotel properties, more than 400 airlines, and over 160 airport operators globally. - This technological step is part of Radisson's broader strategy of digital transformation and expansion, which recently included implementing a new Payment Orchestration Platform in September 2025.
