Pistons Rally Past Cavaliers

The Detroit Pistons rallied past Cleveland 120-116 in overtime behind Jalen Duren's clutch performance. Duren was instrumental in both scoring and rebounding, helping the Pistons snap their losing streak. The comeback victory could provide the spark Detroit needs for the rest of their season.

Jalen Duren's final stat line was a dominant 33 points and 16 rebounds. Cade Cunningham was also a major contributor with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists before he fouled out late in regulation. The Cavaliers were significantly short-handed, playing without their starting backcourt. All-Star Donovan Mitchell was sidelined with a right groin strain, while James Harden missed the game with a right thumb fracture. Jarrett Allen led Cleveland with 25 points and 9 rebounds. Detroit mounted a significant comeback, overcoming a nine-point deficit with just 2:44 left in the fourth quarter to force the extra period. The Pistons then scored the first six points of overtime to seize control of the game. A bizarre 18-minute delay occurred in the third quarter when the arena's horn malfunctioned and would not stop blaring, caused by a power surge to the overhead scoreboard. Officials eventually had to shut down the scoreboard and use a manual airhorn for the remainder of the game. The victory improved the Eastern Conference-leading Pistons' record to 44-14 for the season. For the fourth-place Cavaliers, the loss dropped their record to 37-24.
