DaVinci Resolve AI Update Expected Soon

DaVinci Resolve 21 is expected to include an AI set extender, similar to Adobe Premiere Pro's Generative Extend, that can expand images to fill any frame size using text prompts. This feature can generate missing regions caused by limited clip angles or cropping. Version 20 already boasts over 100 AI-powered enhancements designed to streamline workflows. These include AI IntelliScript for automated timeline generation from transcribed audio and scripts, and AI MultiCam SmartSwitch for compiling camera angles based on who is speaking. Other AI tools in DaVinci Resolve 20 include AI Audio Assistant for professional audio mixing with one click, AI voice convert, dialogue matcher, human & object selection and tracking, AI Multicam Smart Clip, scaling and AI magic mask. The DaVinci AI Neural Engine powers many of these tools. These features build upon earlier AI implementations like Face Refinement, Auto Color, and Optical Flow Speed Warp, which were introduced with DaVinci Resolve 16. AI tools can now assist with tasks such as noise reduction, voice isolation, music remixing, and automatic subtitle generation.
