Al-Nassr Crushes Al-Najma 5-0

Al-Nassr demolished Al-Najma 5-0 in the Saudi Pro League with goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, Kingsley Coman, Lautaro Martínez (2), and Sadio Mané. In other soccer action, Millonarios crushed Pereira 5-1 in Colombian Liga BetPlay with goals from Sebastian Valencia, Mateo García, Leo Castro, Carlos Sarabia, and Beckham Castro, while LAFC beat Real Espana 1-0 in CONCACAF play.

The decisive victory for Al-Nassr rockets them to the top of the Saudi Pro League standings. With 58 points from 23 matches, they now sit two points clear of second-place Al-Ahli and three ahead of perennial rivals Al-Hilal. The lopsided result came against a struggling Al-Najma side, who remain rooted to the bottom of the league table. In 23 league games, Al-Najma has managed only a single victory and has conceded 51 goals, the most in the division. Cristiano Ronaldo continues his prolific season, adding another goal to his tally. The 41-year-old has now scored 21 goals in 21 league appearances for the 2025-26 campaign. This follows a season where he set a new league record with 35 goals. Sadio Mané has proven to be a crucial component of Al-Nassr's success. The club has won all 16 league matches in which the Senegalese forward has played this season. During his absence for the Africa Cup of Nations, Al-Nassr's record was a mixed bag of three wins, one draw, and three losses. In CONCACAF Champions Cup play, LAFC's 1-0 victory over Real Espana sealed their progression to the Round of 16. The win secured a dominant 7-1 aggregate victory over the two legs, with the first match in Honduras ending in a 6-1 rout for the American side. Defender Nkosi Tafari scored the lone goal in the second leg at BMO Stadium, while goalkeeper Thomas Hasal preserved the win by saving a late penalty kick. LAFC will now face Costa Rican club L.D. Alajuelense in the next round of the tournament. Meanwhile, the 5-1 victory for Millonarios over Pereira provides a much-needed boost in Colombia's Liga BetPlay. One of Colombia's most successful clubs, Millonarios has had a slow start to the season and currently sits mid-table.
