TON Strategy names new CEO

TON Strategy (NASDAQ: $TONX) announced Kevin Wilson as its new CEO, effective May 4, 2026, in a social announcement (x.com). The release said Wilson has over 20 years of experience in financial markets and digital assets (x.com).

TON Strategy said Kevin Wilson will become chief executive on May 4, replacing Veronika Kapustina after a months-long leadership transition. (markets.businessinsider.com) The Nasdaq-listed company said Wilson has more than 20 years of experience in financial markets, institutional trading and digital assets. It said he most recently worked at Integral Development Corp. and earlier spent 17 years at Citi. (markets.businessinsider.com) TON Strategy is not a typical software or operating company. It describes itself as a digital asset treasury company focused on accumulating Toncoin, the cryptocurrency tied to The Open Network ecosystem. (markets.businessinsider.com) That strategy was put in place in August 2025, when the company said it would use capital raised in a private placement to build a Toncoin treasury and earn staking rewards on those holdings. (sec.gov) By December 31, 2025, TON Strategy reported holding about 219.7 million Toncoin with a fair value of $356.8 million. The company said 2025 revenue rose to $12.8 million from $0.9 million in 2024, including about $4.0 million from staking activity. (tradingview.com) The leadership change follows earlier filings showing Kapustina would stay on during a search for a successor. A March 31 filing said the board was still running that process, and an amended April 2 filing set her employment end date as April 15, 2026. (sec.gov) (stocktitan.net) Wilson said in the company’s announcement that the “core strategy is already in place” and that his focus will be execution, clearer communication and expanding the institutional investor base. Executive Chairman Manuel Stotz said Wilson was chosen for his capital-markets background and public-company experience. (financialcontent.com) TONX shares closed at $2.53 on April 17, up 7.2% for the day, according to Yahoo Finance. The next test for Wilson will be whether he can turn a Toncoin-heavy balance sheet into steadier operating results and investor support. (finance.yahoo.com)
