Two project management webinars were announced for April 16: PPM School of Management's 'Introduction to System Thinking' and PMI Indonesia Chapter’s second PROJECT MANAGEMENT CHALLENGE 2026 webinar on green IT asset disposal in financial institutions. Two Indonesia-based project management groups scheduled April 16 webinars on two different pressures facing working project managers: solving complex problems and handling technology waste. (youtube.com) PPM School of Management promoted an “Introduction to System Thinking” master class webinar for April 16. Its post framed the session around problems that “terlihat sederhana” — or look simple — but have complex roots that can produce new problems if managers pick the wrong fix. (youtube.com) (ppmschool.ac.id) PMI Indonesia Chapter promoted the second webinar in its Project Management Challenge 2026 series for April 16, focused on green disposal of information technology assets in financial institutions. The chapter’s Project Management Challenge site says the 2026 program carries the theme “Sustainable Horizons: Cultivating Green Project for a Resilient Future,” with finals scheduled for June 5-7 in Bandung. (pmc.pmi-indonesia-chapter.org) (pmi-indonesia-chapter.org) System thinking is a way of mapping how one decision changes other parts of an organization over time, instead of treating each problem as a one-off task. PMI’s own webinar catalog now groups strategic thinking, decision-making and emerging risks such as artificial intelligence among the topics project professionals are expected to keep learning. (youtube.com) (pmi.org) The disposal topic points to a different project risk: what happens at the end of a device’s life, especially in banks and other regulated firms that hold sensitive data. Retiring laptops, servers and storage equipment usually means balancing data security, environmental rules, vendor processes and audit trails in the same project plan. (pmi-indonesia-chapter.org) (pmc.pmi-indonesia-chapter.org) Both events also show how Indonesia’s project management ecosystem is splitting professional development between campus-style management education and chapter-based industry programming. PPM School says it has operated since 1967, while PMI Indonesia says it was founded in 1996 and now serves thousands of members and credential holders across industries. (ppmschool.ac.id) (pmi-indonesia.org) PMI Indonesia’s website says the chapter offers free webinars, newsletters and certification-related training information, and its broader 2026 calendar includes competitions, chapter events and symposium programming. PPM School, for its part, markets management education, certifications and research alongside short-form public learning events. (pmi-indonesia.org) (pmi.org) (ppmschool.ac.id) Taken together, the April 16 lineup was less about software tools than about judgment: how project managers define a problem, and how they close a project without creating another one.
