BermudAir launches 14 Caribbean routes
- BermudAir said on June 3 it would add 14 winter routes linking U.S. gateways with Turks and Caicos, Belize, Anguilla, Guatemala City and Bermuda. - The clearest figure is 14: six new Turks and Caicos routes, five to Belize, plus Boston-Guatemala City, St. Pete/Tampa-Anguilla and Fort Lauderdale-Bermuda. - Flights go on sale June 5, with December launches and service running into April or May 2027.
BermudAir said on June 3 that it will add 14 routes this winter, pushing beyond its Bermuda base with new flying to Turks and Caicos, Belize, Anguilla, Guatemala City and Fort Lauderdale-Bermuda service. The carrier said flights go on sale Friday, June 5, and most of the new service begins in December. The expansion gives the airline six new Turks and Caicos routes, five Belize routes, a new Boston-Guatemala City flight, a new St. Pete/Clearwater-Anguilla flight and a resumed Fort Lauderdale-Bermuda nonstop. ### Which routes are actually new? Six routes to Turks and Caicos are the biggest single block in the announcement: Newark, Boston, Baltimore/Washington, Raleigh-Durham, Fort Lauderdale and St. Pete/Clearwater will all get service, BermudAir said. Five more routes to Belize will launch from Boston, Raleigh-Durham, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando Sanford and St. Pete/Clearwater. (aerocrewnews.com) Boston will also get a new direct flight to Guatemala City, according to the carrier’s June 3 announcement. Fort Lauderdale will regain nonstop service to Bermuda, which the airline described as a reintroduced route for the winter schedule. ### Why is Anguilla included if the headline is about 14 routes? Anguilla is part of the network buildout because BermudAir said it will add a new nonstop from St. (aerocrewnews.com) Pete/Clearwater and expand returning seasonal service from Newark and Baltimore/Washington. The Newark and Baltimore flights continue on from Turks and Caicos with no change of aircraft, the airline said. Travel + Leisure reported that the expanded schedule will bring Anguilla service to three weekly flights from Newark and two weekly flights from both Boston and Baltimore. BermudAir first launched Anguilla service in 2025 under the AnguillAir banner, according to the magazine. ### Which airports matter most in this rollout? (aerocrewnews.com) Raleigh-Durham, Fort Lauderdale and St. Pete/Clearwater stand out because BermudAir said it will be the only airline offering nonstop service from those cities to Turks and Caicos. Boston, Raleigh-Durham, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando Sanford and St. Pete/Clearwater will also get what the airline called the only nonstop service to Belize from those markets. (travel.yahoo.com) Orlando is changing in another way. BWI Airport’s posting of the announcement said BermudAir will move its Orlando operation this winter from Orlando International Airport to Sanford Orlando Airport, aligning the Belize route with Sanford rather than MCO. ### What did the company say about the expansion? (aerocrewnews.com) Adam Scott, BermudAir’s founder and chief executive, said the airline was “thrilled to continue expanding” its Caribbean network as a premium leisure carrier from North America. Scott said customers were giving the carrier “industry-leading satisfaction scores” and the company cited a May Net Promoter Score of 78.9. (bwiairport.com) BermudAir said the new flights will be operated on Embraer E190 aircraft. Travel + Leisure said the airline, founded in 2023, operates Embraer E175 and E190 jets and sells two classes with no middle seats. ### When do the flights start? December is the main launch window. The airline said Newark-Turks and Caicos begins December 19 and runs through April 29, 2027, while Newark-Anguilla begins December 18 and runs through May 3, 2027. (bwiairport.com) Boston-Guatemala City will operate twice weekly from Dec. 19 to May 1, 2027, Travel + Leisure reported. June 5 is the next date to watch because BermudAir’s website says early winter booking becomes available that day. The carrier’s route map also notes that all flights remain subject to regulatory approval. (flybermudair.com) (aerocrewnews.com)
