Golden Retriever Foils Bike Thief

The incident occurred on July 15 in San Diego when a man attempted to steal a $1,300 Electra 3-speed bike from a garage. Ace, the golden retriever, greeted the suspect, who stopped to pet and play with him. The suspect was caught on video saying things like, "You're the coolest dog I've ever known" while giving Ace belly rubs. He even seemed concerned about the dog's safety, asking, "Where's your dad? Your dad should know enough not to leave the garage open". Police arrested the 42-year-old suspect after receiving an anonymous tip. The stolen bicycle was recovered and returned home, much to Ace's delight.
