Two New Cafes Open in the East Bay

Two new coffee shops, Cafe Santana and Blue Drip, have opened in the East Bay. The openings provide new options for local residents and add to the growing number of food and beverage establishments in the area.

- Cafe Santana's new location is its second in Oakland, situated at 2700 MacArthur Blvd., with a grand opening celebration planned for February 28th featuring live music and local artists. - The founder of Cafe Santana, Richard Santana, was inspired to start roasting 17 years ago after reading an article about using a hot air popcorn maker for coffee beans. - Cafe Santana roasts its coffee in small batches on-site using a Legendary SF25 small-batch roaster, which has a maximum capacity of 100 lbs per hour. - In addition to coffee, Cafe Santana offers food items like empanadas and bagels and supports the community by hosting events and displaying local art. - Blue Drip Co. Cafe is located in West Alameda's Storehouse Lofts, a live/work development, at 2350 Saratoga St. - Beyond beverages like coffee and Italian sodas, Blue Drip Co. also operates as a retail space, selling items such as soy candles and diffusers.
