Paris' Fouquet's Expands to Miami
Iconic Parisian establishment Fouquet's is expanding its luxury footprint to Miami's Design District, operating a new hotel with Groupe Barrière Paris’ Fouquet’s to Operate Miami Design District Hotel. This builds on Fouquet’s legacy of French elegance and international dining.
Fouquet's Miami Design District hotel will be a 12-story, 85-room establishment connected to a 25-story condo tower with 143 units. Fouquet's, owned by Groupe Barrière, will manage the residences and amenities, including five dining concepts. The hotel is part of the Design District's expansion, joining luxury stores like Chanel, Hermès, and Prada. The 25-story tower, called Miami Design Residences, was designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect David Chipperfield. The design emphasizes light, proportion and quality materials, bringing a European architectural language to Miami's skyline. The building will offer views of the water. Groupe Barrière, founded in 1912, owns 12 hotels and 32 casinos. The Parisian firm is led by Alexandre Barrière and Joy Desseigne-Barrière, representing the fourth generation of the Barrière family. Fouquet's made its U.S. debut in New York's Tribeca neighborhood in 2022. The Miami Design District Associates, Raycliff Capital, Fort Partners, and Constellation Hotels Holding are leading the development. In January 2026, developers proposed a special area plan that includes 55,089 square feet of commercial space and a 171-spot parking garage in addition to the hotel and condos. The hotel is expected to open in 2030.
