GDC Festival Gaming Music Lineup

The GDC Festival of Gaming features live music at Yerba Buena Gardens Stone Stage from March 9-13, presented by MAGWest with daily performances running 11am-2pm. The gaming conference is mixing live music into its programming this year.

The daily live music at Yerba Buena Gardens offers a diverse lineup of video game music (VGM) talent. Kicking off the week on Monday, March 9, is the Bay Area's own VGM jazz group, Ultra Combo, followed by multi-award-winning composer and concert pianist 88bit (Rob Kovacs). Tuesday's performances feature Southern California-based video game musician Lacey Johnson and the classically trained Sixth Station Trio, known for their sold-out Studio Ghibli tribute concert at Grace Cathedral. The music continues on Wednesday with Anton Corazza, a composer and rapper who has contributed to the soundtracks of games like *TMNT: Shredder's Revenge* and *UNBEATABLE*. Thursday's lineup includes OrchKeystra, with the week of free, open-air concerts culminating on Friday with a special three-hour performance by the Super Soul Bros. This collaboration between GDC and MAGWest (Music and Gaming Festival West) brings the fan-run, non-profit spirit of MAGWest to the larger game developer conference, providing a daily, accessible showcase of the vibrant video game music scene. Beyond the daytime sets at the gardens, GDC week features other significant musical events. This includes the third annual "Developer's Concert" hosted by composer Austin Wintory with the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, which has become an official part of the "GDC Nights" program.
