The Amex Travel 2026 trending destinations were identified using American Express card member bookings from 2025 and insights gathered from their global network of travel consultants. The list aims to provide inspiration for travelers seeking nature getaways, urban experiences, and cultural immersion. A 2025 Amex Travel survey revealed that 89% of travelers get more excited when visiting a new destination. The survey also found that 87% of travelers want hotels with local touches, while 79% prioritize unique accommodations and itineraries. Gastronomy is also a key consideration, with 72% ranking food and social scene in their top three priorities. Las Vegas, included in the list, was the number one destination for hotel bookings made through American Express Travel in 2024. The Fine Hotels + Resorts and The Hotel Collection programs added over 400 new hotels, bringing the total to over 3,100 selected hotels in 114 countries.
