Billie Eilish Hits 10B Streams
Billie Eilish's HIT ME HARD AND SOFT surpassed 10B Spotify streams—the fastest by a female artist—while her new album teaser dropped March 1 trending globally in 20 seconds. Full album expected Q2 2026, plus Eilish No. 3 fragrance hits Sephora March 13.
The album was written and produced entirely by Billie Eilish and her brother, Finneas O'Connell, in his Los Angeles home studio. Released on May 17, 2024, the 10-track project was intentionally dropped without any advance singles to encourage a full, uninterrupted listening experience. Upon release, "HIT ME HARD AND SOFT" became Eilish's biggest debut on Spotify, amassing 72.7 million streams globally on its first day. The album went on to surpass 500 million global streams in its first week and crossed the 2 billion stream mark faster than any of her previous projects. The record received universal acclaim from critics and topped the charts in more than 20 countries. In the United States, it debuted at number two on the Billboard 200, and all 10 of its tracks entered the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100. This project follows her massively successful debut "WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?" (2019) and her second album, "Happier Than Ever" (2021). Both previous albums were also written and produced with Finneas, establishing their signature collaborative process. The fragrance, Eilish No. 3, is the third installment in her perfume collection, which first launched in 2021. Described as an Amber Woody scent, it features top notes of grapefruit and pink peppercorn, middle notes of fir and saffron, and a base of musk and amber.
