Michelin Guide: Portugal's New Stars

Fifty Seconds, located in the Vasco da Gama Tower, is run by Chef Filipe Carvalho. It offers panoramic views of Lisbon and the Tagus River. The Michelin Guide also gave a first star to nine other restaurants. These include Encanto, curated by Chef José Avillez, and Espelho d’Água, led by Chef Martinho Moniz. Other first-time recipients of Michelin stars include In Diferente by Chef Ricardo Dias and Sála by Chef João Sá. These awards highlight the growing culinary scene in Portugal.
