UFC 326 Set for Vegas
UFC 326 is scheduled for March 7th in Las Vegas with Max Holloway rematching Charles Oliveira for the ceremonial BMF title in the main event. Holloway previously defeated Oliveira in 2015, but this lightweight rematch promises fireworks with prelims starting at 7 p.m. ET. The event features a stacked lineup beyond the main event.
Their first encounter in August 2015 ended anticlimactically just 99 seconds into the first round. Charles Oliveira suffered an esophagus injury that rendered him unable to continue, awarding Max Holloway a TKO victory. The fight, which was the main event of UFC Fight Night 74, took place in the featherweight division. Since that injury loss, Charles "Do Bronx" Oliveira has become one of the most dominant lightweights in UFC history. He holds the promotional records for most finishes (20), most submission wins (16), and most post-fight bonuses (20). His 11-fight winning streak from 2018 to 2022 is one of the longest in the division's history. Max "Blessed" Holloway went on a legendary 14-fight win streak at featherweight after the Oliveira bout, capturing and defending the undisputed title multiple times. He holds the UFC records for the most significant strikes landed in a career and in a single fight. Holloway claimed the BMF title by knocking out Justin Gaethje in a thrilling contest. The "Baddest Motherfucker" (BMF) title is a symbolic championship awarded to fighters known for their toughness and exciting fighting style. The inaugural BMF title fight was in 2019 between Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz, with Masvidal winning via doctor's stoppage. Justin Gaethje later won the belt by knocking out Dustin Poirier before losing it to Holloway. The UFC 326 card also features a pivotal middleweight co-main event between top-10 contenders Caio Borralho and Reinier de Ridder. Additionally, the card includes a bantamweight clash between veteran Rob Font and rising star Raul Rosas Jr., and a lightweight bout between action-fighters Drew Dober and Michael Johnson.
