The 2027 Volvo EX60 leverages the new SPA3 platform, Volvo's first dedicated software-defined vehicle. This allows for faster updates, new features, and more reliable bug fixes. Volvo's CEO believes this approach puts them ahead of competitors, despite past software issues with models like the EX90. The EX60 boasts impressive charging capabilities, adding up to 173 miles of range in just 10 minutes at peak charging speeds. Its native NACS port provides access to the Tesla Supercharger network without adapters. The P6 and P10 models can charge from 10% to 80% in as little as 18 minutes. The interior includes a 15-inch center display and integrates Google's Gemini AI assistant. Gemini can access vehicle data, including camera feeds, and respond to natural language commands. The system uses technology from NVIDIA, Qualcomm, and Google, processing up to 250 trillion operations per second. The EX60 lineup includes three powertrain options: the rear-wheel-drive P6, and the all-wheel-drive P10 and P12. The top-tier P12 delivers 670 horsepower and a 0-60 mph time of 3.8 seconds. The P12's 117-kWh battery provides an estimated 400 miles of range. The EX60 is expected to start reaching drivers in late summer 2026. Pre-orders are planned to open in late spring in the United States. The starting price is anticipated to be around $60,000.
