Ultra Miami Weekend Kicks Off
Ultra Music Festival is underway at Miami’s Bayfront Park with seven simultaneous stages and thousands turning out on opening day — the final day (Sunday) promises stacked EDM lineups and live streams. Organizers list expected attendance at 165,000 people for the three-day event and say visitors will come from more than 100 countries. Miami Police told reporters the department is preparing for more than 105,000 people on site and has deployed drones, K‑9 units and undercover teams as part of a unified command with state and federal partners. Set times for all seven stages were published this week, with Main Stage closers including Major Lazer (Friday), Sebastian Ingrosso & Steve Angello together (Saturday) and John Summit (Sunday). Ultra’s Phase announcements highlight several world‑exclusive B2B and debut performances this year, including Amelie Lens B2B Sara Landry and new stage takeovers from A State Of Trance and The Martinez Brothers’ Cuttin’ Headz. The festival is streaming multiple channels on UMF TV’s #ULTRALIVE feed — the Main Stage, RESISTANCE Megastructure, Cove and Live Stage all have scheduled streams, and UMF says #ULTRALIVE has generated more than 2.3 billion views since 2012. Factory Town in Hialeah, at 4800 NW 37 Ave., released five‑night programming for Miami Music Week with sunrise closing b2b sets such as Josh Baker b2b Kettama b2b Prospa and booked label takeovers including Drumcode and Elrow. City authorities began closing and rerouting sections of Biscayne Boulevard starting March 26 for the event, and officials note Bayfront Park will remain closed through April 9 while the festival is underway; Ultra quoted a $207 million local economic impact in 2024.
