River Walk Pub Owners Transform Historic Building
The team behind Waxy O’Connor’s Irish Pub plans to transform the historic Loan & Trust Building into an entertainment and residential complex.
The Loan & Trust Building, located at 205 Soledad Street, was purchased by the group in 2022. The building, which is over a century old, is set to become a mixed-use development featuring apartments, retail spaces, and potentially a restaurant. The developers are working with local architecture firm Fisher Heck to ensure the building's historical integrity is maintained during the renovation. Their plans include restoring the original facade and incorporating historical elements into the new design. This project aims to revitalize a significant part of downtown San Antonio, blending the city's rich history with modern living and entertainment.
