GoodRx expands semaglutide pill access

GoodRx is adding cash-price access for oral semaglutide, letting eligible self-pay patients get Wegovy tablets through its pharmacy network for as little as $149 a month on some starter fills. The label now lists both injectable and oral Wegovy, and carries the same boxed warning about thyroid C-cell tumors. Rybelsus tablets are approved for adults with type 2 diabetes, while Wegovy tablets are approved for weight management. Novo Nordisk had already moved into lower-price direct and retail cash channels for Wegovy injections, including a $499-a-month cash program reported in 2025. Rybelsus labeling says oral semaglutide must be taken once daily on an empty stomach with no more than 4 ounces of water, and the tablets cannot be split, crushed, or chewed. In November 2025, the company said new GoodRx users could get Ozempic or Wegovy injections for $199 a month through a separate telemedicine-linked program.
