Services firms scale model training

Large services firms report massive internal rollouts of Anthropic’s Claude: Accenture says it has 30,000 Claude‑trained practitioners, Deloitte rolled it out to 470,000 employees, and Cognizant to 350,000 more. These figures show vendors are committing workforce training at scale for governed model adoption. (horsesforsources.com)

Big consulting and outsourcing firms are now training and licensing Claude across workforces that run into the hundreds of thousands. (anthropic.com, deloitte.com, cognizant.com) Accenture said on December 9, 2025 that about 30,000 professionals will be trained on Claude as part of a new Accenture Anthropic Business Group. The company also said it will make Claude Code available to tens of thousands of developers. (accenture.com, anthropic.com) Deloitte says Claude is now available to 470,000 Deloitte professionals worldwide through its alliance with Anthropic. Deloitte said on April 2, 2025 that it was also targeting certification of 15,000 practitioners through Deloitte AI Academy. (deloitte.com, deloitte.com) Cognizant said on November 4, 2025 that it would provide Claude to as many as 350,000 associates across corporate functions, engineering, and delivery teams. The company said it would also use Claude Code for coding, testing, documentation, and DevOps work. (cognizant.com) These are not consumer chatbot rollouts. They are internal programs inside services firms that sell technology projects, managed operations, and compliance-heavy work to banks, health systems, manufacturers, and governments. (accenture.com, deloitte.com, cognizant.com) The pitch is governed use, not just access. Accenture said its first joint industry solutions with Anthropic will focus on regulated sectors including financial services, life sciences, healthcare, and the public sector, while Deloitte said its training is built on its Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence framework. (anthropic.com, deloitte.com) Claude is a large language model, a system that predicts and generates text, code, and analysis from prompts. In these deals, the model is being packaged with training, security controls, certification, and workflow tools so firms can use it in client delivery rather than keep it in small pilot projects. (anthropic.com, claude.com, deloitte.com) Deloitte and Anthropic announced their alliance on July 31, 2024, before the larger workforce rollout language appeared on Deloitte’s alliance page. Accenture and Cognizant followed with their own expanded announcements in December 2025 and November 2025. (deloitte.com, accenture.com, cognizant.com) The immediate test is whether these firms turn training counts into billable work and durable internal habits. The numbers now on record show that model adoption inside services companies is being organized like a workforce program, not a software trial. (anthropic.com, deloitte.com, cognizant.com)
