Gnarls Barkley Drops Final Album

Gnarls Barkley (CeeLo Green and Danger Mouse) dropped their third and final album 'Atlanta' after nearly two decades since their last release. This marks the end of an era for the Grammy-winning duo known for innovative R&B and hip-hop fusion. The album is being recognized as a fitting send-off for one of the most groundbreaking acts in modern music.

The duo's 2006 debut, *St. Elsewhere*, was a critical and commercial powerhouse, earning a Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album. Its lead single, "Crazy," became the first track to top the UK singles chart based on download sales alone and was certified eight-times platinum in the United States. Their second album, *The Odd Couple*, was released ahead of schedule in 2008 due to an internet leak. While it received positive reviews and a Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Album, it did not achieve the same massive commercial success as its predecessor. In the 18-year gap between albums, both artists pursued highly successful individual careers. CeeLo Green released solo albums, including 2010's *The Lady Killer* which featured the viral Grammy-winning hit "F**k You" ("Forget You"), and served as a coach on the competition show *The Voice*. During the same period, Danger Mouse (Brian Burton) became one of music's most in-demand producers. He won multiple Grammys for his work with artists like Adele, The Black Keys, and Gorillaz, and formed the band Broken Bells with The Shins' frontman James Mercer. The lead single from their final album, "Pictures," is a full-circle moment for the Atlanta natives. CeeLo Green has stated the song's hook is a literal reflection of his childhood memories of riding the city's MARTA train system alone.
