Whoop Enters Athleisure Market

Whoop is launching a "technical garment system" that blends advanced wearable tech with stylish design, venturing into high-fashion athleisure [https://techradar.com/health-fitness/whoop-calls-its-new-clothing-range-a-technical-garment-system-and-i-honestly-dont-know-what-else-i-expected].

The "technical garment system" is called Project Terrain and is a collaboration between Whoop and Samuel Ross, founder of A-COLD-WALL. The first collection features men's and women's baselayers and outerwear. Garments include shorts, running jackets, and baselayers. The collection incorporates innovations like reflective patches for visibility, sleeve windows for runners to view their watches, and "Any-Wear Pods" for off-wrist Whoop device storage. According to Ross, the collection is designed to make the Whoop device a visible and central design element, transforming it from something discreetly worn. The intent is to create a new visual language of hardware with a design rooted in high-performance. Project Terrain also includes reimagined Whoop bands for the 5.0 and Whoop MG, featuring reflective detailing and a new jacquard construction. The collection aims to redefine the city as a modern training ground. Prices for individual items are not available, but past Whoop apparel has ranged from $54 to $109.
