Agencies Plan to Increase AI Use
A recent survey shows over two-thirds of independent agencies plan to increase their use of AI in the next 12 months.
The survey also found that operational efficiency and staff productivity are the leading motivations for agencies adopting AI. Concerns include data privacy, compliance risks, and inaccurate outputs. Despite the interest, only 8% of agencies report AI is embedded in their daily workflows. Many agencies are still in the early stages of AI adoption. About a third are experimenting, and nearly a third are not using AI at all. A significant portion are using AI in limited areas. This suggests a gap between the perceived potential of AI and the practical implementation within agencies. AI can assist with lead scoring, cross-selling, claims status updates, and risk profiling. AI tools can also automate tasks like document processing and provide multilingual support. Agencies can use AI to streamline quoting, document review, and policy submissions.
