Yungblud Expands Grammy-Nominated Album

Yungblud released "Idols II," an extended edition of his Grammy-nominated album featuring seven new tracks. The expansion includes a fresh version of "Zombie" featuring The Smashing Pumpkins, broadening the record's cross-genre appeal beyond its original release.

- The original album, titled "Idols," was released in June 2025 and debuted at number one on the UK Albums Charts. - At the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, "Idols" was nominated for Best Rock Album, and the single "Zombie" was nominated for Best Rock Song. Yungblud also won the award for Best Rock Performance for his cover of Black Sabbath's "Changes." - The collaboration on "Zombie" marks the first time in The Smashing Pumpkins' career that they have been a featured artist on another musician's recording. Yungblud has cited their album "Siamese Dream" as a major influence and considers frontman Billy Corgan a mentor. - The original version of "Zombie" was written about Yungblud's grandmother, who passed away from alcoholism, and its music video featured Academy Award-nominated actress Florence Pugh. - In addition to the Smashing Pumpkins collaboration, the six other new tracks on "Idols II" are "I Need You (To Make The World Seem Fine)," "The Postman," "Time," "War Part II," "Blueberry Hill," and "Suburban Requiem." - This release follows a collaborative EP with Aerosmith titled "One More Time," which also reached number one on the UK charts in November 2025. - To support the album, Yungblud has announced the "Idols World Tour" for 2026, which includes his biggest headlining UK and Ireland arena shows to date, as well as dates in North America.
