Pura Vida Cafe to Open in Tampa
Miami-based wellness cafe Pura Vida is expanding to Tampa with a new location planned for the Water Street district. The health-focused eatery has filed plans with the city for the new site, signaling the brand's continued growth in the Tampa Bay area.
- The planned Pura Vida cafe will be located at 1038 Water Street, in a 4,209-square-foot indoor space with an additional 562 square feet of outdoor patio seating. - Pura Vida was founded in Miami Beach in 2012 by husband-and-wife team Omer and Jennifer Horev. What began as a passion project has grown to over 40 locations across Florida, New York, and Southern California. - In November 2025, Pura Vida received a strategic minority investment from TSG Consumer, a private equity firm, to accelerate its nationwide expansion.
