UFC Gym sells GLP‑1 care
UFC Gym has partnered with NexGen MD Scientific to open in‑club longevity clinics that will offer GLP‑1 medications, peptides, and hormone therapy inside its workout locations (aol.com). The report lists those prescription services as being delivered directly in the clubs rather than through separate medical offices (aol.com).
UFC Gym is putting prescription weight-loss and hormone treatments inside its clubs through a new joint venture with NexGen MD Scientific. (aol.com) The companies announced the partnership on February 25, 2026, and said it will start with two flagship longevity clinics inside UFC Gym locations before expanding across the chain. (prnewswire.com) Those clinics are set to offer glucagon-like peptide-1 drugs, peptide therapies, and hormone replacement therapy in the clubs themselves, not in separate doctors’ offices. NexGen MD Scientific described itself as the medical supply-chain and telehealth platform behind the service. (aol.com) Glucagon-like peptide-1 drugs are medicines that mimic a gut hormone to reduce appetite and slow digestion, and they have moved from diabetes care into mainstream obesity treatment. The Food and Drug Administration said in February 2025 that the shortage of semaglutide injections was resolved, and it had already determined in December 2024 that the tirzepatide shortage was over. (fda.gov 1) (fda.gov 2) That supply shift changed the business around these drugs. After the shortages eased, the Food and Drug Administration moved to end the temporary leeway that had allowed many compounders to make copycat semaglutide and tirzepatide injections during the shortage period. (fda.gov 1) (fda.gov 2) Drugmakers have also been pushing more direct sales. Novo Nordisk says some eligible cash-paying patients can get Wegovy through NovoCare Pharmacy for as little as $149 a month on certain doses, and Eli Lilly says Zepbound starts at $299 a month for some commercially insured patients whose plans do not cover it. (wegovy.com) (zepbound.lilly.com) Gyms have been moving into that market alongside the drugmakers. An industry report published in March 2026 said 17 fitness clubs and 10 solution providers had taken concrete steps into the glucagon-like peptide-1 business, from telehealth tie-ups to direct prescribing. (cdn.prod.website-files.com) UFC Gym is a sizable platform for that strategy. The company’s site lists locations across the United States and Canada, and UFC Gym said in February 2025 that it expected to reach 42 countries by the end of that year as it opened more than 45 new locations worldwide. (ufcgym.com) (prnewswire.com) The pitch is that members can train, buy supplements, and now start prescription treatment in one place. The next test is whether those first two in-gym clinics become a small pilot or a template for a much wider rollout. (prnewswire.com)
