Starlux to Fly Taipei–Bali

Starlux Airlines plans to launch direct Taipei–Bali service on October 1, 2026, expanding access from Taiwan to the island (travelandtourworld.com). The carrier’s route announcement is presented as an additional connectivity boost for Bali’s tourism market (travelandtourworld.com).

Starlux Airlines says it will start flying between Taipei and Bali on October 1, 2026, adding a new nonstop link from Taiwan to Indonesia’s main resort island. (latestnews.starlux-airlines.com) The carrier said it will run five weekly flights on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The published schedule shows Flight JX765 leaving Taipei Taoyuan at 10:10 a.m. and arriving in Denpasar at 3:40 p.m., with the return flight leaving Bali at 5:20 p.m. and landing in Taipei at 10:50 p.m. local time. (latestnews.starlux-airlines.com) Starlux said tickets are already on sale and that it will use Airbus A321neo aircraft on the route. Focus Taiwan and Taipei Times both reported the launch on April 8, citing the airline’s release. Current schedule listings show EVA Air and China Airlines already flying the route directly from Taipei to Bali. (directflights.com, flightsfrom.com) Bali is still drawing rising international traffic. Statistics Indonesia’s Bali office said the island received 3.98 million foreign visitors from January through July 2025, up 12.57 percent from the same period a year earlier, while Ngurah Rai Airport said international arrivals reached 4.81 million by the end of August 2025, up 12.4 percent year over year. (bali.bps.go.id, bali-airport.com) For Starlux, Bali extends a broader 2026 buildout beyond its existing Northeast and Southeast Asia network. Focus Taiwan said the airline is also preparing to open Busan on June 1 and Prague on August 1, giving the carrier new South Korea and Europe destinations in the same year. (focustaiwan.tw) The Bali launch also gives Taiwan travelers another nonstop option into Indonesia without connecting through Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, or Bangkok. On its booking pages, Starlux is already advertising round-trip Taipei-Bali fares from New Taiwan dollar 16,315 and Bali-Taipei fares from about 5.99 million Indonesian rupiah, though airline prices can change quickly. (www.starlux-airlines.com, www.starlux-airlines.com) The next test is whether five weekly flights are enough for a route that already supports daily service from two established Taiwanese rivals. Starlux has picked the start of October, just ahead of Bali’s year-end travel push. (latestnews.starlux-airlines.com, directflights.com)
