AI Infrastructure Demand Booms

The AI gold rush is fueling massive growth for the companies selling the shovels. AI infrastructure provider CoreWeave highlighted "rapid growth and accelerating capacity expansion" in its Q4 results. Similarly, data governance firm AvePoint reported accelerating enterprise demand for solutions that secure and manage data in the AI era.

The insatiable demand for generative AI is fueling a historic build-out of data centers, with NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang calling it the "largest infrastructure buildout in human history." This boom directly benefits companies providing the foundational layers of AI technology. CoreWeave, a specialized cloud provider for AI, saw its 2025 revenue skyrocket to $5.1 billion, a 168% increase year-over-year. The company projects revenues to more than double again in 2026 to between $12 and $13 billion, backed by a massive $66.8 billion revenue backlog. To meet this demand, CoreWeave plans capital expenditures between $30 and $35 billion. At the heart of this expansion are the powerful chips required for AI workloads. NVIDIA, a key partner for CoreWeave, reported its data center revenue hit a record $62.3 billion in the last quarter of fiscal year 2026, a 75% increase from the prior year. For the full fiscal year, NVIDIA's revenue jumped 65% to $215.9 billion. This rapid AI adoption is also creating a critical need for data governance. As organizations rush to leverage AI, they require robust systems to manage and secure vast amounts of unstructured data. This has become a prerequisite for effective and compliant AI implementation. AvePoint, which specializes in data management solutions, is capitalizing on this trend. The company's Q4 revenue climbed 29% year-over-year to $114.7 million, with SaaS revenue growing even faster at 37%. For the full year, AvePoint's total revenue increased by 27% to $419.5 million. AvePoint's growth is driven by enterprise clients, with the number of customers generating over $100,000 in annual recurring revenue (ARR) jumping by 24% year-over-year. The company's total ARR reached $416.8 million, a 27% increase, signaling a strong and expanding subscription base. The broader AI infrastructure market is projected to see explosive growth, with one forecast predicting an expansion from $75.40 billion in 2026 to $497.98 billion by 2034. Another report estimates the market could reach $536.5 billion by 2033. This growth is driven by the increasing need for high-performance computing power across various industries.
