The Toyota GR Supra 2026 is arriving in Singapore amid a shifting automotive landscape where EVs and hybrids are gaining prominence. In 2025, EVs accounted for a record 45% of new car registrations in Singapore, while hybrids made up 38.8%. Petrol-only cars are declining, representing only 14.5% of new registrations in 2025. Despite the growing EV market, Toyota maintains a strong position, partly through its hybrid models. The GR Supra, known for its performance, features a 3.0-liter twin-scroll turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine producing 382 horsepower. It's available with either an 8-speed automatic transmission or a 6-speed intelligent manual transmission. The Certificate of Entitlement (COE), required to own a car in Singapore, is expected to remain high in 2026 due to strong demand, driven by EV adoption and private-hire car fleets. While the COE supply is expected to increase, it may not be enough to significantly lower prices. Toyota is offering promotions, including those for parallel imports, to attract buyers.
