AI Sales Platform Firmable Raises $14M
Melbourne-based Firmable has raised a $14 million Series A led by Airtree. The company will use the funds for the global expansion of its AI-driven sales platform, positioning it as a growing player in B2B workflow automation.
This latest funding round brings Firmable's total capital raised to $15.7 million across two rounds. The company, founded in 2023, previously secured a $9 million seed round in 2024, also led by Airtree, which nearly doubled its post-money valuation to almost $100 million with the new Series A. The founding team consists of Leigh Jasper, Paul Perrett, and Karthik Venkatasubramanian, all former executives from the enterprise software company Aconex. Jasper, who serves as co-CEO, was the co-founder and CEO of Aconex, which was acquired by Oracle for $1.6 billion, giving the team a proven track record in scaling Australian tech companies for the global market. Firmable's core strategy is to build its own proprietary dataset, distinguishing itself from competitors like Apollo.io and ZoomInfo, which it argues often rely on licensed, US-centric data. By focusing on the Asia-Pacific region first, it provides more accurate and localized data for sales teams operating outside of North America. The platform offers data on over 3 million companies and 25 million professionals in the Australia, New Zealand, and broader APAC regions. The platform operates by identifying real-time "buying signals," such as leadership changes, funding rounds, hiring surges, and new technology adoption. Its AI-powered agents then use these signals to automate tasks like updating CRM records, prioritizing accounts for outreach, and even drafting initial contact messages, integrating with tools like Salesforce and HubSpot. The fresh capital is earmarked for a significant push into the U.S. market, directly challenging the established players on their home turf. Funds will also be used to further develop its proprietary sales data and enhance the capabilities of its AI agents to move beyond suggesting actions to executing them autonomously. Lead investor Airtree is a Sydney-based venture capital firm with $2 billion under management, known for early-stage investments in Australian and New Zealand technology companies. Their portfolio includes several "unicorns" like Canva, Airwallex, and Linktree, demonstrating a history of backing companies that achieve significant global scale.
