Verstappen will be driving for Team HRT, marking his return to the Nürburgring 24 Hours after a hiatus. He previously participated in the race in 2015 driving a BMW Z4 GT3. The event is scheduled for May 30-31, fitting between the Miami and Canadian Grand Prix races on the F1 calendar. This allows Verstappen to participate without conflicting with his Formula 1 commitments. The Mercedes-AMG GT3 offers a different driving experience compared to his usual F1 car, testing his versatility as a driver. The Nürburgring is also known as a very challenging track.
