SFMOMA promoted FOG Design+Fair emphasizing 60+ galleries and a focus on rising designers, referencing the Jan. 21 preview gala and a program spotlighting new names (x.com). The push highlights continued institutional investment in design fairs as platforms for emerging talent (x.com).

FOG Design+Art ran Thursday–Sunday, January 22–25, 2026 at Fort Mason Center’s Piers 2 and 3. (sfmoma.org) Organizers reported the Preview Gala drew more than 2,700 attendees, the highest turnout in the event’s history. (fogfair.com) Preview Gala and fair ticketing included tiered packages with Supporter-level tickets starting at $250 and Titanium Circle packages priced up to $20,000, while a four‑day fair pass was offered in advance for $95. (fogfair.com) This edition named Sir Jony Ive and Lady Heather Ive alongside Tabitha Soren and Michael Lewis as honorary chairs for the gala. (fogfair.com) FOG expanded its FOG FOCUS platform for emerging voices, adding a larger curated presentation that included first‑time participants such as David Nolan Gallery, Gallery Wendi Norris, Anat Ebgi and re.riddle among its slate. (fogfair.com) Proceeds from the Preview Gala benefit SFMOMA’s exhibitions and education initiatives, programs that SFMOMA says served more than 140,000 students, teachers, youth and families in the past year.
