Real-Time Sensor Data Analysis Launched

Greensea IQ launched Bayonet Insight for rapid post-mission analysis of sensor data in defense/maritime ops, generating bathymetry, geo-referenced reports, and telemetry. This supports real-time processing for AUGVs and ROVs.

Greensea IQ was formed in 2023 through the merger of Greensea Systems, Armach Robotics, and Bayonet Ocean Vehicles. Founder Ben Kinnaman started Greensea Systems in 2006, focusing on open architecture software for marine robotics. Their OPENSEA platform is used in thousands of vehicles from 35 manufacturers. Bayonet Insight is designed to speed up access to mission-critical data for defense forces. It supports platforms like Bayonet AUGVs, VideoRay ROVs, and STIDD Systems diver navigation. The tool generates bathymetry maps, geo-referenced summaries, and telemetry plots. The Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) market is projected to reach $7.88 billion by 2035, growing at a CAGR of 8.52%. Medium-sized AUVs, operating at depths of 100-1000m, are expected to dominate the market in 2026. North America held the largest market share in 2024, driven by naval modernization and offshore wind development. Bathymetry, or seabed mapping, is crucial for coastal zone management and infrastructure planning. Bayonet Insight can export bathymetric images as GeoTIFFs, integrating with GIS and mission planning systems. Real-time bathymetric intelligence is being modernized through platforms like BathySphere, which provides high-accuracy data.
