Groping Suspect Sought After Silver Lake Attacks

Los Angeles police are searching for a man accused of groping women on the Silver Lake Reservoir trail, with attacks reported a little more than three weeks apart. (ktla.com) The Los Angeles Police Department said a 25-year-old woman reported that a man lunged at her from behind and groped her breasts near the reservoir trail at about 8:45 p.m. on March 25, 2026. A second woman, 33, told police she was grabbed from behind and groped while exercising at Silver Lake Meadows at about 5 p.m. on April 18, 2026. (ktla.com) Police described the suspect as a Hispanic or Asian man with a large build and said he ran off after each reported assault. Detectives in the Northeast Area are asking additional victims and witnesses to come forward. (ktla.com) The case widened after women in the neighborhood posted warnings around the reservoir and spoke publicly about other encounters. NBC Los Angeles reported that at least three women had come forward with accounts of separate groping attacks at the popular walking loop. (nbclosangeles.com) The reservoir loop is one of Silver Lake’s busiest public recreation spots, and residents told local television stations they have changed where and when they walk because of the reports. One resident told ABC7 she now sticks to the better-lit side of the reservoir at night.
