Fremont Restaurant Week Kicks Off
Fremont Restaurant Week 2026 has officially begun, offering 70 different meal deals and new dishes at participating local eateries. The city-wide event is designed to support local businesses and showcase Fremont's diverse culinary landscape. Special promotions are available throughout the week.
This year marks the fourth installment of the annual event, which began in 2023 to encourage local dining post-pandemic. The first event saw 40 restaurants sign up, exceeding the city's initial goal of 20. The event has a proven positive impact on local eateries. Following the inaugural Restaurant Week, a survey of participating restaurants showed that a majority experienced at least a 25% increase in revenue, and 92% reported attracting new customers. Fremont's culinary diversity is on full display, with participating restaurants representing a wide range of cuisines including Mexican, Indian, Afghan, Italian, and Taiwanese. Diners can find everything from a 16-ounce Ribeye Steak and Eggs at Dino's Family Restaurant to a Tandoori Chicken with chickpea curry and naan from Bismallah. Many establishments create items exclusively for the week. Examples for 2026 include Billy Roy's Burger Co.'s new Grilled Cheese Cattle Smash Burger and a special IPA release from Freewheel Brewing Company. Other deals include three-course prix fixe menus and special combos. A new feature for 2026 is a partnership with DoorDash to debut "Dot," an all-electric, autonomous delivery robot. The robot, which was manufactured in Fremont, will make its first public delivery at the Restaurant Week kickoff event on March 5th. The introduction of the delivery robots will be gradual, starting with a small, supervised group of three before expanding to as many as 30. The robots are designed to travel on sidewalks and in bike lanes at low speeds.
