Samsung Unveils Bespoke AI Appliances at KBIS

At the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) 2026, Samsung introduced a new line of Bespoke AI-powered kitchen appliances. The collection includes French Door refrigerators and pro-style ranges designed with timeless aesthetics for seamless integration. The appliances leverage AI to optimize cooking, food storage, and energy consumption.

- The Bespoke AI Refrigerator Family Hub is a central feature, with AI Vision technology that can recognize up to 37 types of fresh food and 50 pre-registered processed items. This allows the appliance to suggest recipes based on the ingredients it identifies. - Samsung's luxury built-in brand, Dacor, was also featured, showcasing a "hidden kitchen" concept where appliances are concealed within cabinetry. Dacor also introduced new wine appliances, including a dispenser that holds four bottles with dual temperature zones. - The new line of appliances is designed for seamless integration, with features like specially designed hinges and slim door profiles on the French Door refrigerators that allow them to be installed with minimal clearance. - All the new Bespoke AI appliances connect through the SmartThings app, allowing for remote monitoring and control. The system also integrates with Bixby, Samsung's voice assistant, for hands-free operation. - To address reliability concerns in the smart home market, Samsung is promoting its Home Appliance Remote Management (HRM) service, which monitors the status of appliances, provides remote diagnostics, and offers support. - The AI Energy Mode within the SmartThings app can help reduce the refrigerators' energy consumption by up to 15% by monitoring and managing power usage. - The Bespoke line first launched in 2019, initially focusing on refrigerators with customizable colors and panels, and has since expanded to include a full range of kitchen and home appliances. - The introduction of these appliances at KBIS, a trade show for kitchen designers, builders, and retailers, signals Samsung's strategy to have AI technology become a standard feature specified in home construction and remodeling projects.
