Bruno Mars Tops Charts
Bruno Mars hit No. 1 on the HITS Top 50 with his first solo album since 2016 — *The Romantic* moved 180.3k units with nearly half in pure sales. Bad Bunny (#2, 76.6k), Morgan Wallen (#3, 74.7k), and Don Toliver (#4, 66.1k) follow, while BLACKPINK's *Deadline* EP debuted at #7 with 53k units.
*The Romantic* ends a nearly decade-long wait for a new solo project from the 16-time Grammy winner, whose last individual album was 2016’s *24K Magic*. In the intervening years, Mars formed the duo Silk Sonic with Anderson .Paak, releasing the chart-topping album *An Evening with Silk Sonic* in 2021. The debut sales for *The Romantic* are comparable to his previous solo effort. *24K Magic* debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart with 231,000 equivalent album units in its first week of release. That album went on to win six Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year. This release places Mars atop a chart populated by artists who have consistently dominated sales and streaming. Morgan Wallen's recent albums have spent a record-setting number of weeks at No. 1, while Bad Bunny's 2025 album, *Debí Tirar Más Fotos*, recently won the Grammy for Album of the Year. BLACKPINK's *Deadline* EP marks the group's first release of new music since their 2022 album, *Born Pink*. While debuting at #7 in the U.S., the EP set a new record for K-pop girl groups in South Korea, selling over 1.77 million copies in its first week on the Hanteo chart. To support the album, Mars has announced "The Romantic Tour," his first headlining stadium tour, which is scheduled to kick off in Las Vegas on April 10, 2026. The global tour will span nearly 40 shows across North America and Europe.
