Arrowhead has changed how Helldivers 2 pays out Major Order rewards: medals now go to players who were active when an order finished, not everyone who logs in later. (steamcommunity.com) Major Orders are Helldivers 2’s server-wide assignments, with the whole player base pushing the same timed objective on the Galactic War map. Older guides and support posts described the system as rewards arriving after a successful order, sometimes with delays of days or even a week. (helldivers.wiki.gg) (steamcommunity.com) That older setup also produced a long trail of complaints from players who said medals arrived late, inconsistently, or not at all. Steam discussion threads from 2024 through 2026 show players asking why completed Major Orders had not paid out even when medal caps were not the issue. (ign.com) (steamcommunity.com) The reward change lands as Arrowhead readies a new paid progression track, the Premium Warbond called Exo Experts. Arrowhead said on April 21 that the Warbond launches April 28 and centers on mech-themed gear and heavy weapons. (blog.playstation.com) Exo Experts adds two exosuits: the EXO-51 Lumberer with an anti-tank cannon and flamethrower, and the EXO-55 Breakthrough with a flak cannon and ballistic shield. It also includes the MGX-42 Bullet Storm support weapon, the SMG-203 Gallant, and the P-33 Missile Pistol. (blog.playstation.com) (ign.com) Arrowhead’s PlayStation Blog post also lists two armor sets — O-2 Heavy Operator and O-3 Free Spirit — plus the Oxygenator perk, capes, an emote, a title, and a victory pose. IGN’s April 22 report described Exo Experts as the next Premium Warbond in the game’s regular paid lineup, separate from special Legendary Warbonds. (blog.playstation.com) (arrowhead.zendesk.com) Arrowhead’s official patch-notes hub shows the studio is still pushing regular updates in 2026, with “Machinery of Oppression: 6.1.0” listed as the latest patch section on its support site. The April 28 drop gives players a fixed date for the new mech loadout, while the Major Order change resets expectations for who gets paid when the community finishes the next objective.
