Qatar expands summer routes

Qatar Airways plans to operate to 125 destinations by June and is adding flights to Clark (Philippines) and Madinah (Saudi Arabia) from early May. Qatar Airways is widening its summer schedule again, aiming to serve 125 destinations from Doha by mid-June after weeks of disrupted operations. (travelmole.com) The airline’s own April 1 update said it expected to reach more than 120 destinations by mid-May 2026, with all flights still operating through dedicated corridors coordinated with the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority. (qatarairways.com) A Qatar Airways network schedule dated April 7 and valid until June 15 lists Clark in the Philippines and Medina in Saudi Arabia, alongside London Gatwick, Brisbane, Chengdu, Nice and Mykonos. The same schedule shows the carrier rebuilding service across Europe, Asia-Pacific, Africa and the Middle East from its Doha hub. (qatarairways.com) That marks a clear step up from March 26, when Qatar Airways said its revised schedule was valid only until April 15 and covered more than 90 destinations. By April 1, the airline had already moved that target to more than 120 destinations by mid-May. (qatarairways.com, qatarairways.com) The route additions show how Qatar Airways is restoring long-haul connecting traffic through Hamad International Airport, which links North America, Europe, Asia and Africa through a single Doha stop. Qatar Airways says it normally flies to more than 170 destinations worldwide, so the current plan still leaves part of its network offline. (qatarairways.com) The latest rebuild also underlines how much the carrier has been operating below normal levels. An April 13 schedule analysis by AeroRoutes said the 16 April to 15 June plan would gradually resume service to 30 destinations during that period. (aeroroutes.com) For travelers, Qatar Airways is still warning that schedules can change or be canceled for operational, regulatory or safety reasons. The airline has told passengers to travel to the airport only with a valid confirmed ticket and to keep contact details updated for rebooking notices. (qatarairways.com) The immediate test is whether the airline can turn a paper schedule into a stable summer operation by June 15. Its own updates now show a network that is growing fast, but still being rebuilt in stages. (qatarairways.com, qatarairways.com)
