True freshman PJ Duke was named the 2026 Big Ten Championship Outstanding Wrestler. Levi Haines became only the fourth Nittany Lion wrestler to win four Big Ten titles. Penn State's 184 points were the most at the Big Ten Championships since 1995, when Iowa scored a similar total. Their seven individual champions tied a school record. The NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships will be held in Cleveland, Ohio, from March 19-21. Sanderson's teams have won 12 NCAA Division I team titles and he has coached 40 individual NCAA Division I champions.
