Fremont Restaurant Week Kicks Off
Fremont Restaurant Week has officially begun, with 70 local eateries offering meal deals and special prix fixe menus. The event runs all week and is designed to showcase the city's culinary diversity and support local businesses.
This year marks the fourth annual Fremont Restaurant Week, which has grown steadily since its inception. The first event in 2023, designed to boost local eateries post-pandemic, saw 40 restaurants participate. That number grew to over 60 in 2025 and has now reached 70 participating establishments. The event is a collaboration between the City of Fremont's Economic Development Department, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, and Yelp Bay Area. The primary goal is to support Fremont's small businesses and highlight the city's diverse culinary landscape, particularly during what is often a slower period for restaurants. A survey following the inaugural event found that a majority of participating restaurants saw a significant increase in revenue and attracted new customers. This success has encouraged continued and expanded participation from local dining spots. This year's offerings include a wide range of deals, from three-course prix fixe dinners to special menu items created exclusively for the event. For example, Federico's Grill is offering a $35 three-course meal, while Billy Roy's Burger Co. has introduced a new Grilled Cheese Cattle Smash Burger for $17. Diners can find deals across the city, from historic favorites like Massimo's and Papillon to newer establishments. Other specials include a Tandoori Chicken plate for $16.99 at Bismallah, $15 combos at Cafe Mei, and two fish tacos for $10 at El Patio. For those looking for Japanese cuisine, SOHO Modern Japanese is offering a special multi-course tasting menu for the event. Additionally, a wide variety of international cuisines are represented, including Afghan, Mexican, and Indian food. To encourage exploring multiple eateries, diners can use a "passport" to collect stamps from participating locations. These passports can then be entered into a raffle for prizes. The official Fremont Restaurant Week website provides a full list of participating restaurants and their specific deals, along with a map of their locations.
