CityPickle is running pickleball at Wollman Rink in Central Park this week, with courts and group programming active through Saturday, April 26. (city-pickle.com) The 2026 season at Wollman Rink began on Tuesday, April 21, and the venue is operating 14 courts from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. CentralPark.com lists the same hours for April 21 through April 25 at the rink. (city-pickle.com) (centralpark.com) CityPickle says players can book private courts, join clinics, sign up for open play, and take private lessons at the Central Park site. Its Wollman page also advertises $5 daily open play for all levels and says paddles are available to rent while balls are included. (city-pickle.com) Time Out New York folded the pop-up into its April 2026 coverage of what to do in the city this week after reporting earlier this month that pickleball would return to Central Park on April 21. That article said the rink would again convert into a 14-court hub with daily programming and a new kids camp. (timeout.com 1) (timeout.com 2) The setup turns one of Manhattan’s best-known winter skating sites into a warm-weather sports venue, extending Wollman Rink’s use beyond ice season. Pickleball.com reported last week that CityPickle is back for its fourth season at the park and that the courts are expected to stay open through early fall. (pickleball.com) (fox5ny.com) CityPickle’s foothold in Central Park has expanded beyond a short-term experiment. In November 2025, the company said New York City Parks awarded it a 20-year license to operate pickleball courts at Wollman Rink during non-ice-skating seasons. (insider.fitt.co) That followed a three-year arrangement announced in 2024 that kept the seasonal courts in place through 2026. West Side Rag reported then that CityPickle said more than 56,000 players used the Central Park courts during the 2023 spring and summer run. (westsiderag.com) For this week, the pitch is simple: show up at Wollman, rent a paddle if you need one, and join a game before the ice comes back months from now. (city-pickle.com)
